I think SSJ future Trunks [age 14] was indeed weaker than base future Gohan. I mean, it doesn't make much sense, but that's what was shown.

Gohan said something about Trunks surpassing him soon, right? Damn, this could be a very good point to be used by the kids nerfers when present Gohan said the kids could outstrip him soon.

I think Future Gohan was at least similar in power to SSJ Future Trunks at the time. Otherwise, he would've been overwhelmed just like Vegeta against KKx3 Goku in spite of Goku suffering from strain. Ergo, the kid nerfers have no ground to stand

Lol. Only a little under two years ago (before I started posting on forums) I refused to believe that the base kids could beat Captain Ginyu.

I don't feel so bad now.

I think my opinion shifted when I put my bias to the side (ie these are stupid kids, they shouldn't be able to do this) and just read the Mighty Mask/#18 fight. Once I did that, I saw things more clearly. That was with a lot of things. Piccolo reaching Super Saiyan level training for 3 yrs, Goku being above Vegeta (Invisible Kaio-Ken FTW) after healing, Goku being weaker than Gotenks and Gohan, Kid Boo being weaker than Super Boo, etc. It's amazing to realize how much my opinion has changed since then.

It was fun, though.

Your brain can't accept you having thought something as absurd as that and therefore has subconsciously created an excuse.

@Evil Vegeta: I think a-lot of it has to do with the Anime, too. They liked to portray Goku as the hero.

That makes sense, although I still think he's improved since his Neoseeker years. Still not quite there yet though.

I think I used to believe that "invisible Kaioken" theory was a possibility before seeing all of the evidence against it.

Conveniently ignoring Vegeta sweating in that gravity despite going 2x it before he even went SSJ a decade ago, or Gohan saying it'll take him 20 minutes to reach Satan City (slower than Tao on a pillar).

I just never really read the series thinking about power levels until I first started posting on forums. That's why I had the most absurd beliefs when I first joined back in September 2014. If you just go back and read some of my old threads or posts you'll probably get a good laugh.

I remember when you posted completely un-related names on my vs threads, because I think I did the same before.

The gravity argument is always a joy to hear. It also ignores the fact that Trunks ran rings around Vegeta once he transformed.
