A thought: Is it possible that Mecha Freeza was at full power versus Trunks when doing that blast attack? It's possible that he doesn't have to be bulk anymore after those mecha's enhancements. Besides, after the blast, Cold stated: "That is it, Freeza! So much for the SSJ", pretty much believing his son succeeded against a being supposed to be above 100% organic Freeza.

Vegeta looked shocked when Cell walked out of his blasts unharmed in both their first fight and the CG. I don't think you can expect much logic out of a desperately irrational Freeza and his delusional father.

Well, experiencing something is different from knowing or expecting it, I'd say. Look at Kuririn being surprised when he failed to damage Perfect Cell with that kick, for example.

Anytime their attacks don't do anything to their opponent they are always shocked for whatever reason. Piccolo senses Raditz's enormous power, doesn't seem to do a highly charged attack and is completely in awe when Raditz completely tanks it.

That's why I dunno if Freeza increased his powers when kicking Vegeta's powerful blast, based on Piccolo and everyone's reactions.

Considering his level of seriousness towards the blast, it seems implied he used all of his immediate available power. Freeza should be as strong as he was when he got serious against Goku, he did after all, get serious against Vegeta.

Freeza's Chi-blast just seemed like a reactionary reply to Trunks' transformation. I don't think of it as anything more than that.

If you adhere to the Daizenshuu, it basically says Freeza lost despite the gigantic power he gained from the mechanization.

Either way, I don't think it'd make any difference against Trunks.

Why do they have to change their names? In arabic,

Gohan = Johan,
Piccolo = Piccola,
Goku = Gogo,
Bulma = Balma

Piccolo mentioned Cell collected the cells from three years ago Goku. But wouldn't it be at least 4 years, considering it was Goku from the Saiyans saga?

10 days for Kuririn and the others to gets ready before going to Namek.
34 days to gets to Nsmek.
6 days for Goku to get to Namek.
260 days for Porunga to be summon two times.
One year passed.
The 3 years time skip.

Hmm, I suspected so. Kuririn and Gohan's arrival at Namek until Freeza's defeat happened in 6 days? While Goku would take 6 days to reach Namek, couldn't the whole Namek saga have happened in longer than 6 days?
