That shit was really fun. MFG was the first forum that I was seriously involved with. I was on countless DBZ forums prior, but none of them had the staying power of MFG. Mods were hella chill. Discussions were always enlightening. Not just DBZ, but lots of real life stuff as well. I think you would've loved it. I was sad when the site went down. Was able to meet guys such as Kenshi and Pyro that I consider friends.

Lost count of the amount of times Kenshi was revived. Homie was banned like every other week and came back under a different name not long after. He was immortal.

That was the most fun part. I haven't ever had as much fun on forums as when I was learning everything there was to learn. Reading debates from the outside to learn things.. I fucking miss it. I used to get raped every fucking day but I learned from it.

Lol, same. I got bodied a lot back then.

There was a topic titled Yajirobe (post Kami training) Vs Young Piccolo Daimao. I was the only one saying Daimao because Yajirobe couldn't fly.

I had already been converted from an Anime boy to a Manga boy, but I still didn't pay attention to little details like Kami>Daimao, and humans>Kami after training.

I was an ass to Kenshi back then. I don't think we interacted personally until Shinden, but on MFG I was pretty hive-mind about him being some rancid troll IIRC.

Sometimes I consider making another MFG, with vBulletin and all. But then I think how I'd feel running a super nice forum with only a dozen active members, compared to the several dozen of MFG prime.

How does Gero not know that the Z Senshi can power up? Wouldn't his spy robots have picked that up? Lol

Wasn't Goku the only one who did a visible power-up? Outside of Nappa and Vegeta? Everyone else seemed to power-up their Chi-attacks only.

All of them did. Remember Nappa's scouter initially had them at lower readings?

Oh, right.

I always assumed his surprise came from Piccolo being far above his calculations.

I guess from Gero's perspective it wouldn't make sense for the Z fighters to be at anything less than full power? Idk

As dumb as it sounds, that seems to be the case. He believes it's impossible for Piccolo to be able to damage him because he added Piccolo's energy to his own superior power. Even thought draining Piccolo again would be enough for him to handle Vegeta. He ain't know shit.

It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't have a built-in scouter.

I've always had a theory about #20 and #19's scouters being more based on calculations than actual current power readings like #16's.

It looks something like this: Gero's scouter would read Base Goku at 60, have his estimation at around 240 with Kaio-Ken x4, and his maximum at around 600. Once Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan, the power rating would go so far above 600 that it'd stop measuring accurately. It'd just give random figures on what his power should be. This would explain why Gero was so dumbfounded when he was watching Goku beat on #19.

Honestly, one of the best debators I have ever seen was one whose username was Saiyajin Goku, a member from a Portuguese forum named Fusanime. He might not have been so aware of the minor details in the manga, like what was really said in the original, since iirc the Strength Checker wasn't so well known in that community, but his posts were always amazing... they were all a throughtfully analysis on all the aspects of the series and were always very convincing... the amount of thought behind them was just incredible. I think what helps is that his grammar and vocabulary were one of the best, so all his posts came off as very eloquent. He was the one who convinced me that Goku in the Boo saga was outclassed by Gotenks and Ultimate Gohan through an amazing detailed post covering everything regarding Goku's standing compared to Gohan and Gotenks... that thing was so amazing that I'd like to post here if the old Fusanime hadn't been shut down due to some internal problems... the forums being shut down is one of the things that make me really sad considering the amount of posts and interesting topics that were present there. The forum was created in 2007 under the name of Drgon Ball-Pt and Saiyajin Goku has been there since its beginning. Currently he doesn't debate anymore, sadly. There're most important things to do, granted, but I was so much of his fan that I wish I could have debated with him when he was constantly making posts. I really looked up for that guy, he was a DB master.

Another nice thing about him is that he wouldn't let the arrogant guys have their ways at all... not by closing the thread, but by making a post that would just destroy the guy's morale lol. He was pretty good in "edgy comments clash" and there was a specific thread in Fusanime where the members could pick another member and have an "insult the member clash"... Saiyajin Goku was so good with it that once there was a Brazillian there who left the forum forever after a clash he had with Saiyajin Goku. One of the things the people there would say is : "don't make rude comments and don't pick up a fight/enter in a clash with SG"... he was like the Eminem of those battles where one guy would insult the other... but not through just throwing cursing words like "you are an idiot, an imbecil", far from it... he had a so good and well thought writing that he'd end up with your morale pretty quick... there's no way you would be able to insult him and not get a wall of text completely ending with your morale back at you.

But he wouldn't display such "edgy" side unless needed... he wouldn't just insult or give you a harsh post out of nothing... you would have to deserve it to get such posts from him. Anyway, one of the best members I have ever seen and I'd have shared one of his posts here if the old Fusanime hadn't been shut down... they were just gold and even though I disagreed a lot with his opinions I had to recognize them given how good his posts were.
