Enraged Cell Saga Vegeta ki blasts vs Perfect Cell

Let's assume that is Perfect Cell the one that killed Trunks, how things would have gone for him?

Cell had to prepare himself and is visibly shown struggling to do that in order to receive those attacks:

Gohan despite of knowing that Cell has gotten stronger was amazed that it left zero damage on him:

So, how much damage would it have left on an inferior Cell? Would it have forced him to activate a barrier? Or would it have weakened him like the Kamehameha vs Goku? Do these attacks surpass even that pottency?

I don't think it was Cell struggling so much as being annoyed by the blast. Gohan's reaction was also to the fact that he knew Vegeta was about to get one shotted.

He wouldn't be annoyed of something he knows would not affect him, while being Imperfect Cell he incited Piccolo to give everything he got and we see the result. Same with him giving time to Vegeta to his Final Flash thinking it wouldn't affect him.

It can be, but he also could have expected for Cell to have a greater impact that it ended having?

Something can still affect you without dealing damage. Its the exact same thing as when Krillin attacks Nappa and Vegeta. They brace themselves for his blast even though it's much weaker than the Masenko or Kikoho. What reason would Vegeta at 18,000 have to brace himself for Krillin's blast other than the fact that it was an annoyance?

But that just makes Gohan sound incompetent. Full power Perfect Cell, a level much weaker than Super Perfect Cell, already survived a Kamehameha from SSJ2 Gohan. Expecting anything from a random blast by Vegeta is lunacy on Gohan's end.

On the first point, you might be right. Cell having to brace himself is weird, but it could also bring to the table the possibility of him considering those attacks a threat to him, he could just leave his arms and left himself wide open in order to show off power, and this scene could just be an inconsistency.

Gohan knows that Cell has gotten stronger, but still doesn't know the full exent he got stronger and that's why he didn't anticipated how much power Cell has gone up ans got ending that badly. He considered Cell's power pathetic and he didn't put that much power on his Kamehameha. Those ki blasts could have simply been much stronger than Vegeta himself.

Vegeta vs spc is just a contradiction to everything when you realize how much superior cell is to vegeta.

Spc > perfect cell full power > powered up cell (vs goku/gohan) > weakened cell > ssj vegeta.

Having say this i'd be surprised if does blasts would be able to damage even supressed cell.

SPC got damaged by MSSJ Vegeta’s blasts as much as Warming Up Perfect Cell did against Super Vegeta’s blasts.

I agree with Cell just being annoyed by the blast here. It didn't do any damage to him while unguarded and Vegeta expending enough of his energy in the consecutive blasting to lose his breath.

Eh if we look at it hard enough, it may be a little strange considering Cell didn't brace himself at Super Vegeta's blasts when warming up and the difference was arguably way less pronounced there. Idk if Cell would be annoyed when he saw how he pissed off Vegeta for killing his son, being the sadistic that he is, he'd likely just find it funny Vegeta was coming at him with an useless endeavor. Freeza got mad at Gohan and Kuririn blasting him away, but I think Freeza was already annoyed by Piccolo kicking him off guard and then just got caught by surprise by Kuririn and Gohan's blast. But remembering again, Cell also seemed pissed when looking at his face when he shouted "die, Vegeta!!" and shot that beam at an almost out cold Vegeta, so yes, it's possible he was annoyed. Though also, on a side note, perhaps it'd fit better with annoyance if he didn't brace himself, instead he just looked pissed and deflected Vegeta's blast. In the Vegeta and Nappa example, they braced themselves, but Vegeta laughed before the attack hit him like "huh what a joke".

But yeah it's possible Cell was still very pissed at his humiliation beforehand thus seeing Vegeta attacking just annoyed him.
