False SSJ

[Southern Gothic]

The SSJ form from the Slug movie. Do we have any indication of what kind of boost it gives? If not, what's your best guess.

I always figured it was the same 50x boost, but with a much shorter time limit, because Goku hadn't fully grasped the transformation.

I still like the look of this form, even though it was never used again.

Lower than the "Kaioken x100" Goku used at the end since it seemed somewhat implied that Super Namek Slug > FSSJ Goku. I'd give it either a 25x or 50x boost.

I just figure 50x base for simplicity's sake. I'd rather keep it the same as regular Super Saiyan instead of arbitrarily making up a new boost.

No reason not to give it the same boost as the official SSJ form. FSSJ was simply Toei's version of SSJ.

There is no false Super Saiyan. That was a retcon. It's 50 times.

What does "most fans" have to do with anything? Either way, most fans would be incorrect. The film title itself claims that it is the real thing, not some sort of half Super Saiyan.

Probably since the gaps implied by the plot of M4 don't require something as large as a 50x boost. Remember that Toriyama initially envisioned the boost as 10x, but had to make it 50x due to having already introduced Kaioken x20.
