We know Evil and Good split the power of Fat, but there's no way in hell that split portion of Fat is that much stronger than Vegeta, or that close to Kid.
If Kid > Fat, then we know Good had to have had his power restored through the disappearance of South Kaioshin's essence during the Buff Buu stage. Dai Kaioshin had to have absorbed South Kaioshin's power one way or another.
This has to be so, because Evil Buu is superior to Good Buu by a larger margin than Kid Buu was against Mr. Buu. Mr. Buu fought entirely too well for him to be a mere suppressiong of Fat Buu.
I've always thought it made sense for Kid Buu vs Good Buu to be what Kid Buu vs Fat Buu looked like.
