No, but it's been taken over by Kouji Mori after Miura passed away. They've been releasing more chapters than when it was constantly on hiatus, but it's still very infrequent.

I would have to say my favorite retro anime is the 1997 Berserk Anime as well. The most major problems it faced was the still animation in many frames, and even that was made up for by it occasionally adding high quality artwork in important scenes that you could imagine yourself seeing in the actual Manga itself.

Serial experiments lain. Doesn't feel so retro though.

Initial D feels retro, since it features 80s-early 90s cars and the whole touge scene that was big in the 80s-90s in Japan.
