Fire, Grass or Water

The age old debate. In which camp do you belong, in regards to starters?

I don't think I have a preference.

Gen 1: Like them all.
Gen 2: Not too fond of the Grass fak, but the rest are kewl.
Gen 3: Love them all.
Gen 4: ^
Gen 5: Grass is best, but still like the other two.
Gen 6: Water.
Gen 7: Probably choose Grass.

I think I started with grass in Gen 3 and 5, Fire in 2 and 4, and Water in 1 and 6, so I guess I like it mixed. :elmo

I almost always start out with Fire, because while I owned Yellow in the 90s, Gold was the first game I extensively played (and enjoyed a lot) - my starter then was Cyndaquil of course.

Generation V was the main exception because I disliked Emboar quite heavily. I use Grass-types semi-frequently too, even though I tend to box or neglect them eventually since Grass types suck

Back when I was a kid Fire was the only starter I would choose because of my boy Charmander. The first time I chose Water was X and Y since I wanted to try out something different. Then chose Grass for ORAS, for same reason. I'm planning on starting with Fire again for Sun and Moon. I'm switching starter types for every game in order. Though I still prefer Fire a tad bit more, I still quite enjoyed playing with the other types.

I almost always choose Grass Starters in Pokemon. Some of my favorite Pokemon are Grass Type Starters. If not that, then Water types.

2: Chikorita
3: Mudkip
4: Piplup
5: Don't care which, as long as it's not Tepig's faggot ass.
6: Chespin

Fire Type Starters are ass. At least the Fire/Fighting ones except maybe Blaziken.

It depends.

Gen 1: Grass. I like Venasaur more, Blastoise would be my 2nd choice, Charizard 3rd because it's overrated.
Gen 2: Grass. Meganium has yet to let me down, 2nd choice would be Typholsion, Feraligatr 3rd.
Gen 3: Grass. Sceptile's a beast despite how fragile he is. 2nd would be Swampert since Water/Ground is a good combo, Blaziken would be 3rd.
Gen 4: Fire. Infernape's great, followed by Empoleon at 2nd, than Torterra in 3rd Place.
Gen 5: Water. I haven't played it from start to finish but I'd choose Oshawott over Snivy and Tepig. I don't know who'd take 2nd or 3rd in this regard
Gen 6: Water. I haven't played Gen 6 so I'm picking Greninja since Ash's Greninja is SO OP and whoops all sorts ass in the anime.
Gen 7: Don't know.

Doesn't matter since Dragons are my favorite type.

Usually water, since in most games water tends to be effective against a large number of bosses if memory serves me.

I pick the one I like most.

Gen 1: I like all three equally.
Gen 2: Totodile
Gen 3: Mudkip/Treecko
Gen 4: Chimchar/Turtwig
Gen 5: Tepig
Gen 6: Froakie

I'm a grass man, especially for Gen 1. It gave me an advantage against the first 3 gym leaders, and Venosaur is a boss.

I tend to pick Fire due to the type having far less members than the other two, especially in Gen 4. The only times I've chosen other types were choosing Froakie in Y due to Greninja being a boss and choosing Treecko in OR due to already having the XY Event Blaziken.
