Doesn't it imply the main difference between Goku and Vegeta there was the SSJ?

Doesn't it imply the main difference between Goku and Vegeta there was the SSJ?

I did use to argue that could mean Base Goku and Vegeta are comparable, but it doesn't really hold up when you see Vegeta's reaction to Base Trunks powering up, and even if that was disregarded, this could simply be Vegeta talking tough and indicating he'd reach Goku's level no matter what eventually.

Vegeta seemed to think being a Prince would somehow allow him to naturally surpass Goku as a Super Saiyan. Pretty funny when you think about it, but it's reiterated more than once o show that it was a factor in his mind:

That was probably what he had in mind when saying that to Goku. No matter how superior Goku was as a Super Saiyan, it would all change once he attained the form for himself. That's how it appears to me, anyway.

2 Arm Gohan > Super Saiyan Vegeta causes massive power level problems!

Not necessarily. At Freeza Saga, there is a huge gap (2x in my books) between Vegeta and Goku.
Therefore, considering Vegeta trained less in the other timeline, there is room for him to be SSJ
and still weaker than 2 Armed Gohan (whom i have stronger than Namek Goku).

What's kind of funny is Vegeta proclaiming he was "several levels" (original) or "much stronger" (Viz) compared to Goku, when it's implied to be a very small difference at best. Vegeta was really deluded in this saga.

Yea I think if we can put him at Namek Goku's level, there's no issues with that.There's probably a way to make it all work. Something like thi should be fine more or less...

Future Gohan = Future Vegeta = Namek Goku

And then you can say that the Androids had caught Gohan off guard or something, not that he went looking to fight them. More or less I guess.
