WTF?!?!?! They still treat him as if he was the mysterious youth who defeated Freeza when first appeared. That’s the weird thing I mean.

17.5 years when first appears.

spend 2 years in RoSaT in Cell-Saga.

Through DB-Super time-travel rules:

he had to wait 3 years to help for the cyborgs which means he was 20.5 years old.

Then he trained 2 times in RoSaT meaning 22.5 years old.

Then he returned & waited for & defeated Cell 3 years later meaning 25.5 years old.

Then about 7 years go by for Boo-saga meaning ~29.5 years old.

Then 10 years go by toward the end of DragonBall & Pan was said to be 4 then, if you go back then that means at-least 5-6 years have gone by from the time-skip depending on when Pan’s birth-day is, so:

at-least ~34.5-35.5 years old

(with-out counting RoSaT his age’d be ~32.5-33.5 years old).

That means he’s not even that much younger than Boo-saga Goku who was called old by Trunks IIRC lol.

I’m thinking of making an age thread for DragonBall & at-least the characters that are known in the manga for their age.

Example:

Gohan is said to be 16 in Boo-saga which means Goku had to be 28 when Cyborgs attacked. He can’t be 26 when Trunks first appeared, unless you think he just turned 26 & Trunks was rounding. I don’t know though. Did Trunks say roughly/approximately 3 years in manga or just out-right 3 years any-way?

Also Goku’s birth-day’s got to be in June or July or maybe August (some-time after may 26 at-least), because Goku didn’t have his birth-day for 8 months before 21st Tenkaichi-Budokai & Cell-saga which played-out for almost all of May made no mention of a birth-day.

Then it should really be 3 years, right? Is the original dialogue same? I assume anime is the same. But for example Trunks also said some-thing like approximately 2 & a half years from then IIRC.

Some-thing interesting is that Boo-saga isn’t even full 7 years after end of Cell-saga. AT just rounded it I think. The beginning happens on March or April (Cell-Games ended on May 26) & Tenkaichi-Budokai is in early May, so even when Boo is defeated it’s not been a full 7 years since the incident with the cyborgs.

Right. Trunks even said he’ll be born in roughly 2 & a half years from from then, so it’s a-bit hard to tell when AT rounds the numbers & when he tells the numbers as they are. I think maybe it depends-on how long the time is too, for example a month or 2 is not much for 6-7 years (percentage-wise), as opposed to for a year.

He's much younger than Goku. We saw he was a baby when Goku was mid-20s. For him Goku would be old.

In a way I see how they treat him young, since he's younger than them. Same as Gohan.

On the other hand, the guy carried the fate of his timelime on his back. He's the closest thing to Goku that his own timeline has and has been that since he was a kid. Though he probably is naive about how to deal with other people, especially in a team of fighters.

Yeah, that but there’s other stuff too. For example I think Trunks called him big brother (the Japanese way), he should be ossan by now lol. Also Vegeta & Goku treat him like a youth. Example: Vegeta & Goku tell him to stand-back & let them handle it because that world needs Trunks. It’s like a let the adults handle it vibe. Also Bulma called him a young meng at the beginning one time or 2 I think.

Vegeta/Bulma/Goku are significantly older than him, so I'm not too surprised by this (especially with 2/3 of those people being his parents). The younger/older Trunks dynamic is a unique one, but younger Trunks seems like someone that wouldn't take titles all that seriously. I'd say the pep talk from his younger self was an awkward one for F. Trunks that would align more to your point, but respect definitely grew after that.

Goku isn’t that that much older than him. More than 10 years, yeah but not that that much. You’d assume younger Trunks’d treat him like an old meng, considering his age & what he I think said about Goku in Boo-saga.

Also after a certain-point people’d stop treating you like that, right?! Trunks being that old you’d think so, despite Goku & Vegeta being way older.
