Come to think of it Trunks is not even close to 10 years away from Goku. With-out RoSaT about 8 years. With RoSaT in original series Goku was in RoSaT for 11ish months all-to-gether (1 month for 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai & 10 months for Cell) & Trunks was 2 years that could close the gap by over 1 year. How-ever many times Goku went to RoSaT in DB-Super I don’t know. I don’t even know if Toyotaro had RoSaT in manga so it’s possible it never happened.

Asking a battle peer to stand back while they handle something tends to be because they deem themselves more capable of handling the threat. Looking at it holistically, Trunks is treated with more seriousness overall than most other characters, because he's often in the middle of extremely dire situations and is completely occupied by them; the others sense this and try to assist where applicable.

Splitting hairs on specific ages is more like a sub-point, second to the primary point about treatment, which is the meat of the matter and where the clarity should be retained the most. But if you want to get into the age stuff, ossan is a term more for a middle-aged person (45 ~), so I wouldn't expect younger Trunks to refer to F. Trunks like that anyways (unless maybe jokingly). If you feel like there's more to be said about his treatment, let's inspect the anime or manga. I want to see an example (e.g. panel or episode screenshot) of what you'd classify as disrespect so that we can look at the surrounding context and see if it came across that way.

But didn’t Trunks call Goku old in Boo-saga? He wasn’t much older.

also you said but Trunks really isn’t that much younger than even Bulma because of RoSaT.

Usually, 10~ years or more is considered a notable age gap even among adults, which Goku and Bulma vastly exceed compared to Trunks going by birth years. And I very much doubt RoSaT usage would cause an actual behavioral change in this circumstance, and definitely hasn't thus far.

But they are below 10 years difference when comparing to how old they really are. RoSaT useage causes no change? Really? It’s both physical & mental growth. The person in there experiences the equivalent of a year in one day. That means Trunks grew both mentally & physically 2 years because he experienced 2 years in there. He lived for 2 more years.

Do you have a source for Trunks being less than 10 years younger than either of them? Every thing I've read on the net has it way above 10 years overall, even with RoSaT adjustments. Not to mention Goku has more RoSaT years on Trunks, too.

Besides battle-related progress, warriors come out of the time chamber more grown indeed. But in relation to the point, there wasn't a major shift in how a post-RoSaT user was viewed in the latter aspect; at least not in a way that stabilised. Their strength was the only thing that remained a factor, which itself kind of fades from relevancy when the antagonist pushes the power ceiling further than before.

I’m not saying that post-RoSaT might or might not be treated be treated a certain way by characters, but it’s undeniable that they experience more time in there right so that means extra age, right?!

In the orginal manga Goku had the first time which was barely a month & then 10 months for Cell, so only about 11 months all-together.

It’s math, but nothing was stated out-right by Guide-Books or so I think. Bulma was 4 years older than Goku. She was 16 at the beginning & Goku was 12. Goku was 23 at the beginning of DragonBall Z era of series, because 5 years since 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai & Gohan was 4 then so 19 year difference. Gohan was 16 in Boo-saga. 7 years before during the fight vs Cell that means 9 years and 3 years earlier than that when Trunks warned them that means 6. 6 + 19 = 25, so Goku was 25 when Trunks warned them & Trunks was 17.

Goku trained in the RoSaT for 3 years to prepare for the U6-7 Tournament, which came before the Black Saga, so that would push the age gap above 10 years going by your calcs. I see where you're coming from, but the prompt is ultimately about DBS Trunks.

Are you sure about that? I’m not sure if that was in the manga too. Usually if something doesn’t happen in both manga & anime I kind-of think it’s anime-exclusive.

I looked-up it’s in manga too, so Goku is like 44-45 at that point at-least. Yeah the difference is about 10 years.
