He basically won is what I meant. Vegetto never really came close to defeating anyone ever. Broly had to be saved via the DragonBalls.

Vegetto could've won several times against Gohan-Boo though. And he only lost to MZ because his time limit unexpectedly ran out.

Could have but never went for it against Boo and that's why he didn't win. Against MZ he blatantly tried to finish the fight but defused before he could. Another failure. None of those happened to Gogeta. Gogeta was about to win no ifs or buts about it (I think) but Broly was saved by the DBs.

Against Boo he only didn't go for it because he wanted to rescue the kids tho'. I'd call that a win overall, esp since Vegetto's plan was to be absorbed.

He defused though which was never planned, but for them (Goku & Vegeta) it was a welcome turn of events.

I don't think the 1 hour time limit was AT's original plan either, he just needed a cheap excuse to write Vegetto out in the Trunks arc. 2

Agreed. But the good thing was that we don't have any official reason why Vegito defused in Boo's body.
