Gohan attempted to fight Beerus in Base (Ultimate?), and Piccolo even was shocked that Gohan was beaten so easily. When SSJ Vegeta tried to fight Beerus he became paralyzed. He couldn't even attack because he was so afraid. Does this place him behind Gohan?

Gohan has not been training to perfect his ultimate state just like he hasn't been training for 7 years after the cell games he had a massive lead with his SSJ2 and could have trained to become SSJ3 or more even like Goku but he didn't instead he let his mother boss him around and focused on his studies instead of training since then he's rusty even after attaining his mystic form after majin buu was defeated he spent the past few years slacking off with spending time with his wife and life while vegeta on the other hand has been seen training in BoG possibly even before then so it's safe to say Vegeta > Ultimate Gohan and the reason vegeta was paralyzed with fear is because he was experiencing trauma from his childhood of beerus paralyzing him with only a glare now he can barely even approach him a second time after doing it again earlier.

They said some time had passed since the first episode when the Beerus faggotry plot starts. Pan would also be way too old if she were born less than 2 years after Boo.

Pan was a few months in utero by the time that Beerus showed up on Earth and fought the Z Senshi, so BoG can't have been more than 5-6 years prior to EoZ.

But yeah, at least in the manga, Piccolo was surprised Gohan was defeated so easily, which wouldn't make a lot of sense if Vegeta was even stronger and hadn't fought yet.

The official DB timeline says BoG events were 4 years after the defeat of Boo and puts the Broly movie about 3 years prior to the 28th Budokai, which is called the "Peaceful World" arc in recent material to put in DBS events between Boo and EoZ. There must be another timeskip after Beerus destroyed half that planet.

Perhaps the second screencap is a mistranslation then? I remember making the same assumption that BoG arc was less than a year after Boo, and CoH said there was a timeskip whose length was unspecified.
