Goku had accepted Kami's offer to become a God?

Would his god status mean he wouldn't die of natural causes, so he wouldn't get the heart virus?
Do you feel anything else would have changed in this scenario?

He probably wouldn't be able to go to Namek so everyone gets killed :manabu

Considering Dende was still able to go down and mingle with mortals in both social gatherings and battle support, I doubt anything of worth would change for Galu. I doubt Chichi would live at Kami's Temple so Goku wouldn't see her too often, though that's no change from normal. Gohan would still be born and even if Goku gets significantly stronger from training with Kami, it wouldn't change anything against Raditz other than perhaps his Kamehameha being enough to lightly graze him.

For the sake of the scenario, I'll say Kami uses that time to teach Goku the Mafuba to use if he can catch Piccolo off guard in their next fight to put an end to the problem of the Dragon Balls. I'll say that his death against Raditz is from using it rather than the Makankosappo finishing him off, though it would be a last resort instead of the full nelson so the 1st Makankosappo still happens. After that, either one of two paths; either nothing changes after this due to the Mafuba being too risky for Goku to use against other opponents (and not being mindful enough to use it against exploding Shello if the far more intelligent Piccolo didn't think of it), or the more interesting route, Goku uses it against Oozaru Vegeta, fails and dies. Kuririn can't use the Genki-Dama, so Vegeta kills everyone, goes to Namek and is eventually killed by Freeza, who continues his reign until either he meets Dabura or Beerus wakes up.

Dende was only ever seen leaving his office when the population of Earth was wiped out, no? Considering Popo said he can't leave to go to Namek I doubt Galu could do it either outside of extremely dire situations, which "reviving his friends" wouldn't really fall into imo.

Now, GAlu's personality would allow him to break the rules regardless, but since this isn't post-Zeno DB he'd probably lose his position :donovan3

If we're including DBS material, Dende was able to go to something as minor as a birthday party, so I doubt Goku would be too limited, nor could Popo stop him if he were to screw the rules not without pecking order power, anyway.

Well, going somewhere within the planet was something Kami already showed in the 23rd, I just find it non-equitable with flying all the way to Namek and neglecting god duties for months. Or years if you count Yardrat :cena
