Freeza said the planet Namek has only 5 minutes left before it explodes but in anime it went on several episodes but if you don't count the filler stuffs and just focus the fight between Freeza and Goku, it does really fit in 5 minutes.

Arcosians have a different metric system than earthlings. Maybe their ''minutes'' are way longer than 60 seconds.

At this point in the series, Goku and Freeza were at least Massively Hypersonic+ (ie. over a thousand times faster than sound). Anime-wise, they were even FTL based on Kaio being unable to track them whilst having no problem tracking Saiyan Pods (even if an outlier). Combine the former with the fast pacing of the manga's fight or have the latter on it's own and the events of the battle taking place in only 5 minutes seem quite plausible.

Wait, wasn't that line from King Kai about not able to tract Goku and Freeza only in anime version?

It's at least far more convincing than Dio's timestops only being 5-9 seconds long despite him babbling for well over a minute on top of throwing punches

There is the whole "Talking is free action" argument, though that was still ridiculous. Not as much as Jotaro monologuing when beating down Kira for the last time, though still dumb.

That argument is still pretty shit since Jotaro didn't do much more than kick Dio's legs after talking him down in his last timestop in P3 and Dio's timestop expired from just shitting his pants when he saw Jotaro's fingers twitch, but yeah.

I'd say both are at least moderately better than Vegetto lasting a full hour in the Boo arc despite only beating on Boo for 2-3 chapters though.

But there were also parts they were standing and talking. Unless you mean they were also talking in super speed.

Maybe they where fighting at such speed that time around them slowed down significantly, so they are capable of forming conversations while time still continues to process their movements.

They were not fighting during conversations.

Freeza could have simply been wrong. I mean 5 minutes is just impossible. Id say it was 30 mins and Freeza was just guessing.

Why it is impossible? The fight fits on 5 mins in the OP.

To them, they were fighting for less than 5 minutes. For us, time around them probably slow down so we can see them fighting instead of seeing nothing.

I guess its not impossible. I just disagree with it. I does not really fit. I guess in the manga its more plausible.
