I don't actually disagree with any of what you said here, but I feel like a lot of the times you undersell the selfish moments of his behavior and put more focus on the heroic aspects in order to paint the character in a specific direction (not sure if that was your intention). If you included any of this in part of the analysis than I wouldn't see an issue.

I was indeed underselling it somewhat, though that lies in what the thread's focus was - highlighting Goku's underrated characterisation through various moments and pointing out the flaws in using past moments to justify his portrayal in more recent media (ie. Super), with the selfish aspect of his personality being so overused that a large portion of the fanbase view his character as simply that.
