I watched up to episode 22 of the original series and even that much was a chore. What interest the premise had was quickly ruined by how much of a typical Shonen it turned out to be with how plot armoured the main trio are as well as the power creep later on of single soldiers being able to defeat Titans that used to require the combined efforts of a group to face as well as the characters in general being very one-note. From what I've heard, it became somewhat better later once it started going into more topics such as political intrigue, though it came at the cost of a loss of identity for the series' focus and I've heard the later seasons even delve into the sin of bringing time travel into things.

Better off watching Blue Gender, which has a similar premise (though swapping out steampunk battles against giants for sci-fi battles against giant bugs) that doesn't squander all its potential in a handful of episodes.

I have barely watched it, but have heard quite a few ppl talking about it. The opening is the best one out of all the animes I've seen, though.

Out of the few first episodes I've watched, I found it mildly interesting. I remember even mentioning that Mikasa seems a lot like Alita from Battle Angel Alita.

So, it seems the manga ended recently and apparently the ending was extremely bad according to the majority of the fanbase, the last 16 or so chapters even being compared to as such a low bar as Game of Thrones Season 8. Not that I'm surprised, but yeah. Apparently, Isayama went the whole unpredictable for unpredictability's sake route. Just a bit of warning for you in case you genuinely have high hopes for the series GreatSaiyaman123.

Well, hope it’s gonna be a fun ride before at least.

Well, I would say that the most common criticisms weren't warranted like The Last of Us II's story or similarly controversial stories/endings, but I doubt it, given the reliance on an asspull very early on. A shame. It would have been better off as the gritty survival horror it initially sold itself as. Let's hope my younger brother won't be as disappointed with the ending as the rest of the fanbase was.

To be fair, I did get up to the part the Corps recruits Eren and they go live in that big house. I just can’t handle the slow dramatic pacing of animes though. No idea how I ever stomached Dragon Ball as a kid.

Got past episode 20 or so and I have no idea what they aimed to do with this. It's pretty boring and aimless using a lot of violence and death for shock value. If people like this series, it's definitely not because of season 1. Fuck this.
