How are bounties paid?

Does a marine come to deliver it? So if they're delivering it to a pirate do they temporarily have a cease with them? Would they trust the pirate to not kill the deliverer? They might not kill them because it would mess up the bounty system, but there are probably pirates who won't think about that or care as they might not like the bounty system. Would they send someone strong enough to fight the pirates, just in case?

Did anyone get the bounty for defeating the yonkou? Probably not as they weren't captured or confirmed dead - besides Whitebeard, so did Blackbeard get the bounty and if so how did he receive it? Did he stay behind after Marineford? "Hey Blackbeard, you stay behind and after everyone goes I'll give you the bounty" or "hey why are you guys still here? Are you crazy" "shahahaha I'm here for my bounty Mrs Sengoku" "oh right. That Larry can't do anything right....Larry! Larry, come here! You forgot to give this kid his bounty" (Larry Sengoku is Fleet Admiral Sengoku's full name for the purpose of this imaginary scenario).
They could probably kill or capture Blackbeard and his crew, but he was a shichibukai still.

Yeh so I'm thinking if someone needed to deliver a bounty to whoever captured the guys in Impel Down, how would they? Because those are strong pirates. Imagine delivering a bounty to Shnaks or Big Mom. Would they send a whole Buster Call? Or send an Admiral with a couple of Vice Admirals?

Maybe pirates aren't eligible to get them. It's probably exclusively for bounty hunters, of which there are zero notable ones.

What makes someone a pirate? Because Zoro already had a raft he sailed on. And he fought pirates. Luffy was a seafaring guy fighting pirates before fighting any marines or stealing anything considerable (I guess he may have stole the barrel. The next time I remember him stealing was possibly the end of the Kurt Arc?). How is Arlong a pirate? He's a local gang leader.
