How does anyone dodge Kizaru's or Franky's beams

I know I'm supposed to just suspend belief, but what? Pre-skip Luffy and the other Strawhats are faster than light? Or do they just guess that an attack is coming?

Alright they get laser holes through them, but it's anime - they can cough up 10 black puddings' worth of blood and still fight. Cool, they can survive a hole through them. But FTL jumping?

It's actual light, not a firework. Even Whitebeard should just get a hole in him. Kizaru's kick should kill anyone.

Can Kizaru slow his beams and light travel down? He stops moving when travelling, but is he actually slowing light down, or just turning back into a human/non-light?

I don't remember any examples of dodging lasers pre-skip. Maybe against a Pacifista which has a charge time before shooting.

For post-skip, Observation Haki would explain it.

He can definitely control his own speed when walking around as it's still his own body, but releasing a beam of light? If the OP world has any sort of physics, the speed of light is always constant.

Which is why unless multiple people in the one piece world have faster than light speed reactions and movement (which even for you guys is ridiculous) he's not actually moving at the speed of light.
