Boo was first talked about but not revealed yet? They were just gathering energy for him, but he hadn’t made his appearance until after Gohan shot the KHH at the egg?

Also after you saw him, were you disappointed?

Yeah, there was definitely a lot of anticipation after the amount of hype that Boo received. And just knowing that SSJ2 Gohan couldn't even fill Boo's meter halfway meant he was going to be a threat.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed. Boo was the most unique villain we had seen in terms of appearance and abilities. I liked it.

I don’t know. Maybe at the time I expected him to be more intimidating, like Cell, Piccolo or Freeza, but then there is subverting expectations and such. Even Babidi seemed perplexed.

I agree. Kaioshin made it sound like Boo was a really big deal. Everything in the 25th Budokai has massive hype in general, actually. You could really feel the tense atmosphere.

I was genuinely hoping they would finish the arc without reviving him lol. I was more focused on Gohan being cool, the tournament and wanted Babidi to just get fucked up. Nowadays I would know the villain's revival is inevitable.

I wasn't disappointed by Buu, just by Gohan not obliterating him. His regen powers were cool and it was different to have a villain who wasn't super malicious (eg doesn't want to follow Babidi's orders, heals the blind kid).

I guess I'm usually not a huge fan of magic though. It feels like BS sometimes.

I knew what I was getting into with regard to the looks. And I knew that he'd change his look a bunch of times. I also kind of knew the order of appearances through Dragon Ball Z: The Great Dragon Ball Legend on PS1 (also saw fat Boo in Ultimate Battle 22 and kid Boo in Final Bout).

But, I despite some really short, glossed-over summaries, I didn't know the actual story. So, it was fun and exciting watching that unfold.
