How strong is Popo?

I always found that odd. I guess it's just easier to put them as equals, but the fight began to look one-sided until Daimao started resorting to those little tricks to cripple Goku. Goku was still able to knock the shit out of him, though.

There are people who have 23rd Budokai Tien weaker than Daimao based on the Daiz/Beginning of Z numbers. I honestly don't see how that's possible.

Ten goes out to state that he's even surprised Goku's eyes can keep up with his speed, and the suppressed Goku that fought him was noticeably stronger than he was against Daimao even if he wasn't faster. The 260 level for Daimao makes positively no sense.

It seems way too tight to try to fit Mr. Popo, God, and 23rd Budokai Piccolo and Goku in between 250 and 408. It kind of forces you to have 23rd Budokai Piccolo ~ BoZ Piccolo, as little sense as that makes.

Random thought: how the fuck is someone like Freeza Soldier able to make a video game appearance over Popo?

Shit is so wrong. Maybe Xenoverse 2 will change that.....

Lol, I forgot.

Speaking of that, one of the things I enjoyed about BT1 was hearing what the guy had to say when you lost. Some of the quotes were funny. Cell (his Japanese voice sounds strangely high for some reason) says something along the lines of, "It's time to waste this sorry excuse of a garage sale mannequin...hahahaha" to #16. It just sounded extra funny in Japanese.

The only halfway decent roundabout I've heard with that is Piccolo using most of the 5 years to develop new techniques/the Makankosappo, rather than gaining a lot of strength.

I used to think Goku was >> Piccolo-Daimao, but then I looked closer at the fight and once they both started using full-power, he didn't get owned as bad. Only at the beginning when he was still not using full-power.

Goku had a clear advantage, though but that could also be explained due to skill because I remember thinking some of it might have been due to skill. But then there's Goku always being the one knocking Piccolo-Daimao down, so yeah Goku definitely had the advantage.

Once they both go full power their trading blow for blow until piccolo injures goku's leg. It's only tenshinhan saying goku is pushing him back that gives any indication that goku is stronger.

I think, when humans were training at Kami's, Popo was shown being Krillin's sparring partner in a panel. So, we can probably place him at 200s.

That's what I was saying. They're almost even, but Goku had a slight edge in hand-to-hand combat, which couldn't have been a large difference as Goku was breathing heavily as well after knocking him down

Which makes the skill thing Popo mentioned very funny, as it would seem Daimao's skill is just as shitty due to him being bested by Goku more times than not.

Well I mean think about how much goku getting beaten by a finger from kami when all he did was sit on his ass for decades.

Popo was tooling Goku pretty effortless, the former even dodged Goku's ultimate technique (the montage Ozaru even appeared) by jumping in the air. While skills might play a factor here, I think the gap was pretty big (at least 1.5x IMO).

As already said, when Piccolo Daimao went to full power (and Goku too) they both thrade an even exchange of blows with Goku getting the upper hand in the end. Even so, Goku had to resort to using his stick and had to be saved by Tenshinhan. Definitely a pretty small advantage on Goku's side IMO.

Following the scouter numbers, I'd have:

Yamcha (23rd Budokai) - 165
Yamcha (BoZ) - 177
Kuririn (23rd Budokai) - 180
Young Piccolo Daimao - 200
Post hax water Goku - 205
Kuririn (BoZ) - 206
Tenshinhan (23rd Budokai) - 225
Tenshinhan (BoZ) - 250
Mr. Popo - 275
Kami-sama - 310
Piccolo Junior (23rd Budokai) - 375
Goku (23rd Budokai) - 380
Piccolo Junior (BoZ) - 408
Goku (BoZ) - 416

He had to resort to the Nyoi bo because Daimao had to resort to incapacitating his leg.

But Daimao incapacitated his leg with his own techniques, with his own chi.

Regardless if it was his own power, it shows that he needed Goku to be impaired to gain an upperhand over him.

Yeah, but it still doesn't change the fact that he did it with his own power. It's not like chi attacks were cheating or something like this.
