He was called the Sword God so I'd have to think he'd be ahead of Mihawk. He was from a completely different era though, so it might be difficult to compare them.

So if he was still alive, he would beat Kaido?

I think so.. though I've never read the one shot manga he featured in so there might be details I don't know of. I think it's symbolic that he slayed a dragon, and Kaido is a sort of dragon.
