How would the story have developed if Tenshinhan had survived after throwing the Kikoho at Nappa?

Suppose Tenshinhan used a hair less of power in his Kikoho against Nappa and had survived being almost unconscious.

Let's suppose whatever it is, they spare Vegeta's life and let him escape just like in the series.

How would the story unfold?

It wouldn't really change that much. the only change being that Kuririn never surpasses Tenshinhan as the strongest Earthling. Tenshinhan wouldn't be much stronger than him though, so his Kikoho would have little effect against Reacoom or Freeza. Assuming he survives the battle and never gets to train with Kaio, that could potentially change the Cell Arc depending how integral you think Kaio's teachings were in developing the Shin Kikoho, but that's pure speculation with nothing really backing it up.
