Though I'd say them being below 8k because they never learned Kaio-Ken is based on solid evidence rather than speculation as well. Daizenshuu 7 implies Kaio-Ken usage is strictly related to how high your Battle Power is.

And you’re assuming that they tried to learn Kaioken. That is conjecture in itself. Maybe Kaio saw from Goku’s battle with Vegeta that training actual battle power and techniques is more important than utilizing a technique that could destroy yourself.

What you're saying is a even bigger conjecture though. Though you could argue Tenshinhan really didn't try to learn given what he said about just grasping the basic stuff rather than doing the same thing as Goku. That Shin Kikoho spam is arguably even more stressful than Kaio-Ken.

The fact of the matter given the Kaioken situation is that both sides require guesswork. To follow a guidebook insert such as that and apply it to a full year of training on the planet is just something I cannot accept.

I mean, we just watched Tenshinhan go from 250 to > Raditz in a year by just training at Kami's. Now him getting 5-6x stronger in a year training with a god in 10x gravity is unfeasible? Just seems off putting even with DB's unreliable scaling and training gain inconsistencies.
