That's about the only way it makes itself useful.ahill1 said:Put a HxH work in front of them and they'll just use it to clean their noses.

1. Scribble a chapter every now and then
2. Go play video-games for half a year

Haha. When I'm back to HxH I'll make sure to read and interpret all dialogues. For how, I'm interested in the Hisoka vs Ryodan conflict.
Yeah, Berserk is another series I wish wasn't on hiatus. Whilst it has lost a bit of his meat with its more lightheart tune, I still hold interest in the Guts vs Griffith conflict... and would like to see Griffith's ideal world more explored.sei'taer said:ahill1 said:sei'taer said:I'll admit, that publication schedule is a little too complex for me.

I mean I like HxH, but man it's like Berserk where I can't count on the series being around week to week. One Piece goes on hiatus for a week at a time tops.
Current One-Piece is probably still better. Comparing them both in their peaks isn't even a contest.ahill1 said:Fantastische Hure said:Schedule is:sei'taer said:I'll admit, that publication schedule is a little too complex for me.

And it still manages to be way more intriguing than current OP, in which chapters are producced weekly :umad
Nah, firsr arc of HxH already cleans current OP. As for their peaks... nah, not even Marineford, Alabasta or Ennies Lobby is getting close to what HxH offered in its peak.Fantastische Hure said:Current One-Piece is probably still better. Have you even read HxH?Fantastische Hure said:HxH is overrated to hell and back. All those three sagas you mentioned are above anything HxH ever did. Besides he doesn't even know how to write. So much exposition in a manga is just ridiculous. He doesn't know how to tell a story via manga.
OK. You got me. No but I've heard enough about it to know it's severe.ahill1 said:Have you even read HxH?Fantastische Hure said:HxH is overrated to hell and back. I wouldn't. He doesn't seem like a good character to me. Besides I recently saw an image where they showed every-time or a lot of times when Hunter x Hunter (Gon) ripped-off DragonBall (Goku). Side by side comparisons.ahill1 said:Fantastische Hure said:OK. You got me. No but I've heard enough about it to know it's severe.ahill1 said:Have you even read HxH?

I admit that the art is shitty and shitty art has even discouraged me from reading certain mangas. Watching the anime (I personally prefer the 1999, but you should be fine watching the 2011 as well) would be a good trip. Gon has also some traits similar to Goku (not Super ofc) and Luffy, I bet you'd like him.
I think he was inspired by Goku, just like Luffy. The three characters are pretty carefree in general, like to follow their instinct and are naive. Luffy is the most flamboyant out of the three. What seemed to distinguish Goku in the DB world was his naive nature and obliviousness to the world... Whereas Gon has such a simplist approach to things in general that surprises the cast, yet he's still so instinctive and pure that he attracts the people around him. Luffy is the most distinguishable one by his flamboyant and childish attitude.Fantastische Hure said:I wouldn't. He doesn't seem like a good character to me. Looking at HxH just makes me depressed or some sort of bad feeling. I don't know what it is. Maybe it reminds me of something not so good from the past.ahill1 said:I think he was inspired by Goku, just like Luffy.
