SSB's main shade of blue in the TV anime is so ugly lol. SSB Copy-Vegeeta, SSBE Vegeeta, and SSB in DBS Broly look better. Some commercials and Heroes trailers give SSB a better shade of blue, too.

I know it's not a big difference, but I wouldn't have minded SSB as much if the shade of blue didn't look ugly.

I mean, even less so. I've never held a high opinion of Super, but "Power Ranger Goku" really made me think, this is not even worth taking too seriously at all.

Transformations have never been creative in this series. At least, I like that SSG, SSB, Rose, UI, UE, Beast, even SSBE, etc are easier to distinguish from each other than SS2 is from SS1.

The only totally redundant looking form is SS Rage. It looks practically no different from SS2, which looked practically no different from SS1. "The same thing but with electricity" "The same thing but with a partly bluish aura" kek

Nah, other transformations have some basic underlying function and logic behind them. The lore that can be established over those forms is adequate. If you come to the conclusion that the original manga's transformation sequence is somehow only on par with Super's, well, you've missed the plot. Not all transformations are created equal.

GT's Super Saiyan 4 is a valid, respectable transformation. And Super's Ultra Instinct is probably classified as that as well. Everything else in Super is hot garbage.

I doubt it. Why would anyone want their favorite shows to be crappy? GoT Season 8 was a disgrace and there's nothing wrong with complaining about a good series going down a bad road.

Shounen's target demographic is mainly ages 5 to maybe 15. Even 15 is arguably too old for a lot of Shounen. By the time you're in high school, or an upperclassman in high school, cartoons and comics are seen as geeky; in Japan, you'd likely be dismissed as an otaku. Shounen definitely isn't targeted to anyone 18 or up (or 20 and up in Japan, since 20 was the age of legal adulthood until a few years ago); you know, legally aged adults.

When DB, DBZ, and GT aired censored on Toonami in the 90s to 2000s, they were aimed at 6-11 year olds. Same with DBZ Kai on Nicktoons in the 2010s. The uncut versions were meant for the 13-14 crowd, but any older than that and you start looking like a manchild when you watch or read Shounen. By 18, you've clearly aged out of the target demographic. That's not to say the manchild crowd didn't become sizable enough to make money off of in the 2010s, which is obviously why the uncut dubs of Dragon Ball Z Kai and Super were mainly targeted towards overgrown children blinded by nostalgia, but many people have pointed out how out of place Shounen feels on a block called "Adult Swim".

The term "Shounen" basically means "young people" or "boys". This shit isn't meant for adults at all lol. Honestly, kids picked on me for liking Dragon Ball Z even when I was 10. People can like what they want, but this shit is looked down upon before you even turn 13. I was too old for this shit when I was 14 and I'm definitely too old for it now that I'm 29 (sigh). Don't worry I'll be gone soon.

The last thing I'd ever do is worry about what a grown ass man does in his free time. Do what makes you happy, Scott, and don't worry about what other people think. Now, you might not want to broadcast to people in real life what you do, but in your personal, private life, do what makes you happy so long as you are taking care of all of your responsibilities, I can't see how anyone could be bothered by that. And if they are, who cares, they should mind their business and worry about their own lives instead of trying to dictate to others how they should live.

For the record, I wasn't saying that a grown person shouldn't like Shounen. My point is basically that there's no reason for a grown person to like it. The target audience is young boys, so it's ultimately pointless for grown ass adults to hyper-analyze it or get into any serious debates about the story. This is all just dumb shit for kids; if you're gonna criticize it, then you may as well just do yourself a favor and stop watching it.
