Now we know Merged Zamasu is confirmed, and the Mafuba will not be successful according the description to episode 63-65. So how else will they defeat the merged duo? Easy. There is a reason why Gowasu will accompany with Goku and Vegeta to the future, it's to setup the climax. When all hope is lost, Gowasu will lend Goku and Vegeta his Kaioshin earrings to turn into Vegetto in order to finish Merged Zamasu once and for all to save the future timeline. @Fantastische Hure

I haven't seen the episode descriptions, but I could see this happening.

But if so, will Zamasu & Goku-Black fuse in a different way to potara, because individually they are already much stronger than Goku? Even-though Vegeta seemed to have powered-up for the next episode, via training.

I can see that, but if they fuse I think it'd make more sense if they fused by a way inferior to potara, so they can explain why Vegetto all of a sudden is higher than a fusion of them.

Unless Goku also powered-up a lot and rivals both of them now.

If Gogeta does appear, I hope he's merely a set up to Vegetto, like he was easily defeated and all hope seems lost before Gowasu gives them his Potara to fuse with.

The art they released of Gogeta was in SSJ form and not SSJB or some shit as well, so I doubt he'd be appearing however... even if the design is basically identical.

How would they separate though? Super Dragon Balls? Cause there ain't no way they are gonna stay Vegetto.

That and that alone make me skeptical that Vegetto will ever be a thing again, unless they rinse repeat and have them defuse under "unknown circumstances" like they did inside Buu. Or Whis or someone knows some magic to undo the fusion.... I dunno...

We will most likely see Gogeta. Then perhaps a new type of fusion. Perhaps one special to Universe 10 gods that Gowasu could help them with too.

Like, I could see Goku and Vegeta being the ones to bring up Potara fusion, and Gowasu would be like "Similar, but not quite" or some shit.

Logically a fusion of both Zamasu's should > Gogeta and Vegetto, seeing as how both are stronger than Goku and Vegeta separately as is. So a new fusion with some kinda godly boost might happen.

I still dont see how this will end without Zeno's muffin button being pushed. Being stronger than both Zamasu's or a fusion is great, but if they cannot die or be sealed away, then......

I wouldn't say it would be a weaker fusion. Besides, I would like to see Vegetto actually showing effort when fighting.

I'm not sure. I haven't kept-up in the retellings, but I'm sure it was said somewhere since everyone says that's the explanation.
