I thought Kaioshin didn't know where the spaceship was.

When they handed over the energy to Babidi, Dabura was there so Kaioshin thought it was too dangerous. He probably planned to kill Babidi later somehow, without having to fight head-on.

The world was in chaos (tbh I don't remember if it was), but Piccolo wpuld probably notice the bomb. I guess he actually might just ignore it though and let it hit near him - can't remember if he and his kids were the type to do that. But the big problem is if he's in one place long enough while they actually know his whereabouts. Like he just killed people quickly and then left, so by the time they set up the bomb and fly it over he's already gone. Missile is quicker, so maybe they can try that and try to make him stay there for like 20 min and hope he doesn't blow it up at a distance.

I don't think they had nukes. The military assaulted Cell with everything they had and nothing resembled a nuclear bomb. The RRA's weaponry was considered to be the most advanced and their strongest missile barely destroyed the top of a small mountain.

Not sure if they could sense ki that was inside the ship or not. Maybe because it's magic.
And even when Dabura leaves the ship, Goku asks Kaioshin if Dabura's strong, so either he couldn't sense Dabura's ki because he's a demon or Dabura's ki was suppressed, in which case it makes sense that he never noticed their presence on Earth.

I think it works fine. Obviously it's a device to make it so Gohan HAS to get sucked off for them to find Babidi's ship, but Spopovich's lifelessness was a natural enough eccentricity to tip the characters off with considering what he is.
