The first images from CoroCoro have leaked and have revealed the latest news on Sun & Moon's anime series. As always, do note that translations are preliminary while we work on them. The anime series is Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon and will air in November. In it, Ash will receive a Z Ring and meet the Melemele Island Guardian, Tapu Koko. In the series, Ash is going to school and his goal is to graduate "like never before". We'll bring more as it comes.

If the fans weren't sure that the show was for toddlers before, they'll sure as hell know now.

As if the various trainer camp episodes in DP and XY weren't bad enough. Probably won't even give this series a try, considering I tend to loathe the trope of an anime being set in or around a school, unless done in an unconventional manner, especially with modern series. Unless the school plot only lasts a couple of episodes, the anime's shot itself in the foot like never before.

Well XY has ended, hands down the best series yet.

- I loved Ash being mature and competent as a trainer. He caught a VERY solid team (Greninja, Goodra, Talonflame, Hawlucha, & Noivern)
- Bonnie wasn't an annoying child character (Looking at you Max...)
- Clemont is equally as cool as Brock was (In the beginning, he got stale from Johto onwards. That guy SERIOUSLY overstayed his welcome)
- Serena imo is the best female character we've gotten in the anime so far. I loved her development, I thought she was more human/relatable than the previous girls, and throws knives at me but I even really liked the romantic storyline with Ash....and it ACTUALLY paid off in the end!! My word, I still can't believe what happened in the end...
- The animation was effing beautiful
- Best Gym Battles I've ever seen.
- Saddest moments I've ever seen in Pokémon: Ash releasing Goodra and Greninja, Serena failing her first TriPokalon, any Bonnie/POTD bonding episode.
- The most mature Pokémon series since Diamond and Pearl and competes with DP in terms of maturity.
- Nicely balances maturity and gag moments.
- The ending is imo definitely the best ending to a Pokémon Region yet. EVERYONE in the XY Gang has flashbacks regarding their adventures together and not just Ash, they've all shown how much they've grown while traveling with Ash, we get to see what EVERYONE was doing after they've gone their separate ways (Serena, The Lumiose Siblings, their rivals). The ending of XY just really felt like a proper ending to an anime series (Technically season since the mainstream anime is still on going, but the XY Series definitely got the ending it deserved).

I've seen the trailers for the Sun and Moon anime and truth be told I'm not looking forward to it but I stopped watching Pokémon after Sinnoh and came back to it a few months ago. I gave XY a chance and I wound up LOVING it, than I gave Best Wishes a chance and while I think it is easily the weakest entry in the anime, it had it's moments. So I'll give Sun & Moon a chance, it at least deserves that much and I want to be fair since I've given 2 series I initially had no interest in seeing a chance from start to finish. Plus now that XY has had a PROPER ending compared to other series I got some closure and have some energy for Sun & Moon.
