Is a Logia really the most powerful fruit?

In the New World where basically anyone can use Haki, I don't see what major advantage a Logia would have aside from regeneration. Does it not come down more to strength and ability at the end? For example, Akainu being clobbered by Whitebeard.

I don't think Haki should be relevant when determining which fruit is the most powerful from an absolute sense, e.g. Croc's fruit > Mr. 2's fruit in combat but fresh water ain't doing shit to Mr. 2. Besides, Haki cancels out all fruits.

Taking into consideration Haki, a Logia user with strong enough Haki would cancel out or overwhelm an opponent's Haki so yeah.

Generally logia are the strongest in a vacuum. They usually allow control of actual elements and have large variances in the abilities that can be used with the power as opposed to paramecias.

Obviously the strength of the ability, the users skill with it and haki all come into play, but yeah logia always start higher on the power curve than other fruits.

WB's fruit is more of an exception too, because it beats out every other fruit regardless of type. Using broad strokes it's easy to say that on average, logias are the strongest.

Yeah whitebeards fruit is certainly at the top of the paramecia power scale and certainly stronger than a lot of the logia's shown in the series.

Roger. Don't think anyone else can. I think people can hold him off very well like Shanks but I don't see anyone coming out on top 1v1.
