Is SSJ3 Goku > SSJ Gotenks > Fat Boo possible?

Given that base Gotenks fought fat Buu and could still walk afterward I think it's pretty doubtful that SSJ3 goku is that close to SSJ Gotenks.

You'd have to assume that SSJ3 Goku was heavily suppressed against Fat Boo to make it work. Something like SSJ3 Goku FP > SSJ Gotenks > SSJ3 Goku suppressed > Fat Boo

Which is not suggested anywhere in the story. What is suggested is that SSJ Gotenks will be stronger than Goku and it was never questioned after the fact.

The truth is that I agree with you too much.

The only doubt Piccolo had about Gotenks SSJ (Pre) defeating Fat Boo was his speed. Then Gotenks SSJ surprised Piccolo with his spectacular speed.

Gotenks SSJ (Pre) is slightly stronger than Goku SSJ3 (Arc Boo).

Why heavily? I didn’t suggest any of the gaps were big. All 3 of them are in the same range.

It's not possible because Gotenks was confident in performing much better than Vegeta against Buu without even turning into a SSJ, meaning that Base Gotenks scaled between SSJ2 Majin Vegeta and SSJ3 Goku, turning into a SSJ would make him x50 stronger and therefore far surpassing SSJ3 Goku because of simple math.

Even if you go with the lower SSJ mutliplier theory (which makes no sense but whatever), Goku told Buu that someone stronger than him would appear to defeat him which means that SSJ Gotenks would scale above SSJ3 Goku. You would need to argue Goku lied to Buu for no reason in order to put SSJ Gotenks below SSJ3 Goku.

If Boo is like 75% then Goku is probably at 80%. Gotenks could be 90%?

In the DBS manga chapter 1, SSJ Goku was going to fight Kid Boo in image training. He just one shot Freeza and Cell and got serious for Boo, so that wasn’t going to be a one shot. What do you make of that?

The anime and the manga scale different, I believe Goku in the manga isn't implied in any moment to be stronger than Gohan. Are we sure Goku was about to get serious against Kid Buu? I don't remember how it went, could you show a scan or something?
