that vegeta trained ssj2 to be more powerful than normal, like trunks did? except vegeta didn't manage (at the time yet) to be as powerful as trunks' ssj2

since vegeta couldn't become ssj3 in boo-saga & he wanted to desperately catch-up to goku (modern db), maybe he also thought of the same trunks did with a more powerful ssj2 to make-up for not being able to transform ssj3 i think

It's weird because Vegeta is clearly even or around even in other forms (minus SSJBE and onward where his path diverges from Galu's). My guess is that he was already working on a strengthened SSJ2 form after the BoG arc, and he later incorporated Trunks' methods into his own, making his SSJ2 much more powerful than Trunks'.

I don't go by him keeping his rage boost from BoG because that's retarded.

He definitely took a page out of Trunks' book by the time he fought Black, though his reaction to Trunks increasing his power as a SS2 seems to imply he hadn't thought of doing so until then or at least hadn't succeeded yet.

in manga db-super i think. when comparing how trunks & goku fought at beginning & then comparing to vegeta's & goku-black's 1st fight i think.
