If so, when?

Not that I like the anime, but I find it weird it hasn't resumed yet considering the time there's the ToP ended. Do we have an official statement on its come back?

Sometime in the next 10 years.

Let's be real ahill, nobody who hates Super would even ask this question.

I dislike Super and think it's wayyy weaker than the original no doubts, but it at least provided some sort of enjoyment when shutting my brain off.

I've given them an executive order that Super will only return once the Moro arc has finished. It will be skipped over.

It'll probably return once the Moro Arc is concluded so it has enough material to not surpass the pace of the manga, at least for a while. Not that it'll worth watching for more than comparing the two unless it adds meme material on par with Episode 5 Galu or Manly GAINZ Roshi.

I think it was confirmed a while back that another movie was going to be made, which I believe could potentially be the Moro arc.

Do you have a source for that, or an idea where you heard it from? Don't think I've heard anything official about that, which seems suspicious with how quickly that news would spread if true.

The info hasn't been given much attention because it was a small comment from a interview in some japanese blu-ray and the guy didn't reveal anything else besides the fact that it's being planned for. Also, people highly expected the DBS anime to return as well during this time which was what they were most hungry for.

That news about a movie is interesting, though there's a lot of things to doubt when it comes to what it'll mean. With how much the Moro Arc has been stretched, it seems doubtful Toei would just condense it down to a 2 hour at most film. The part about it going in a different direction could be applied to the early Moro Arc, but the current events are the more standard fare. It seems more likely the new movie will either be something different from the manga's events to give the manga even more time or Toei may go back to the route of making stand-alone, explicitly non-canon movies.

The movie could be made into a comedy flick with Vegeta as the main role in a cast full of chibi characters for all we know. I would pay a lot of money to see that.

That would honestly probably be better than adaption another ~2 hour series of fights with no real stakes. A change in tone is definitely necessary for future DB movies and something that allowed the likes of DBZ Movies 9 and 13 to stand out for their first half before the typical main fights they had later on. Straying away from more action that carries no real stakes in order to do something like comedy or adventure would be greatly appreciated, not to mention the 2 DBZ TV Specials being tragedies shows the franchise can experiment well with different tones when the right people are involved.

If it's in anyway similar to those Broli meme videos it would be an instant 10/10.
