(Let's start with an easy drawing technique)
If you're really bad at drawing, this beginner's version is recommended. Even at the beginner level, it actually requires a high level of expressiveness to be able to understand who is what from a simple picture. It may be more difficult than drawing realistically in some ways, but since there are fewer lines involved, practice as many times as you like to master it.
