so...uh...piccolo is not all that strong?
But if, DB-Super Gohan is >>>>>>>>>> Boo Saga Gohan, then he could also possibly be Super-Saiyan 3 tier, right?!Paladin said:Seems to be SS2 tier, at least, which is pretty negligible in the long run when compared to Blue.
That sounds good, but then what about Piccolo being able to fend-off Frost for awhile. Are Goku and Vegeta's regular states still not God-tier?Paladin said:I think he fits in around or between Good Boo and Grey Boo.
So what about Frost?supersaiyangodgogeta said:base Gohan is equal to base Goku whom already far surpasses super boo. Piccolo isn't boo level.
Fantastische Hure said:But Piccolo called Ultimate Gohan amazing and seemed to imply that his power was above his own.

Paladin said:Pyro said:He got him in the choke because Gohan wasn't fully in the fight, like Piccolo brought up at the start. Gohan successfully landed the only strike in their bout, whereas Piccolo's rear knee attempt was blocked even though Gohan didn't know where Piccolo would be attacking from. Gohan dodged Piccolo's green ki wave slasher nearly point-blank, which is when Piccolo lambasted him for not taking the fight seriously enough. That's when he got Gohan with his arm, choked him out, and mentioned how he lets his guard down at vital moments.Paladin said:What? Piccolo was choking SS2 Gohan out with one stretchy arm. Gohan was writhing around, screaming "Where did you get such powahhhh!?!?"
I don't see anything in the fight that would make me think Piccolo was actually stronger than Gohan ki-wise, let alone noticeably stronger as some claim. Piccolo capitalized on Gohan's weaknesses, that's all.

Gohan still remained on the defensive, failing miserably in his attempts to free himself.

Sorry, please have some buff guy get you in a choke hold and see if you can free yourself with ease.
It is a big jump in power, but everything in the anime seemed to point to the Saiyans' regular-states being above DragonBall Z level.Paladin said:Piccolo is (seemingly) above the base Vegeta and base Goku in the U6&7 Tournament, and he continued training from there on until the ToP. I think that's over a year in time for him to get to SS2 tier. Still a big jump, but nowhere near as unreasonable as other power ups in this show.

So all of Universe 6 besides Hit were really probably only on Cell-level at best? All that base beyond god stuff seems to have been retconned in order to make Trunks relevant during the Black arc, and the other U7 fighters relevant in the ToP.

But that's why the manga makes more sense anyway. Other than the 10% line regarding Super-Saiyan Blue Vegeta and Goku that wouldn't make any sense in this case.
