Piccolo thinks Goku has a chance though so he is much weaker than 50% MSSjin Goku

Piccolo is much weaker than Trunks as he is not mentioned by Cell when they fought the Cell Jrs

Was Piccolo aware that it was only half of Goku's power?

And where did he say that he though Goku had a chance?

Cell mentioned them because they were the most relevant, and the only ones actually putting up a roughly even fight. Piccolo from what we saw was still standing, on his feet and fighting back. He was making some sort of stand, not eating dirt like every one else.

Which puts him within range of both Trunks and Vegeta, since they were just barely managing an even fight with their respective Cell Juniors. If he'd been much weaker, he'd have been floored quickly.

There's also the fact that Cell's statement isn't limited to Vegeta and Trunks. They were simply the first that came to mind.

We saw Tenshinhan standing at one point. He could be a possibility as well.

I have an issue with him stronger than Grade 2 Vegeta/Trunks; despite his inability to gain new forms, the last time he fused with someone, his training gains were crazy, the same applies here. Piccolo doesn't need new forms to get Super Saiyan level power. However, he's still weaker than 50% Goku.

Just kidding. He wanted to save Gohan from Cell, and you know what that means.

I'd say around 5-10x.

Piccolo (with Kami) was equal to #17 in power.

Goku goes from being below Cell to being close behind PC.

Piccolo (after RoSAT) was putting up a decent fight against the Cell Jrs, who'd supposly be > Semi Perfect Cell.
