Legendaries Battle

On the basis of personal preference, which set of legendaries do you prefer between Gen 1 and 2? It can be based on design, playability, or really anything.

Gonna have to go with Gen 1 thanks to the Birds, namely Articuno since he's one of my favorite legendaries overall.

Probably Gen 2. The only Gen 1 Legendary I like tremendously would be Mewtwo, as well as maybe Zapdos due to its great competitive use and typing. Meanwhile, Gen 2 had such competitively viable Pokemon as Lugia and Ho-Oh, something with as kewl a design as Raikou and generally provided a lot more interest when it came to in-series lore than with the Legendary Birds (Mew does have a lot of that, though it isn't as important for the main story).

I’d probably take Gen 2. I really like the design of Raikou, Suicune and Entei. Design-wise they are some of my favourite legendaries in the series. I also really like Ho-Oh and Lugia. They look absolutely mythical, and really give off the atmosphere of being a legendary Pokémon.

Also, a Gen 2 Legendary (Entei) was the star of the best Pokemon anime movie, so Gen 2 has that going for it as well.

Lugia and Ho-oh are probably my favourite set of legendaries. The roamers give Gen 2 a slight advantage over Gen 1 in my opinion.

I like the birds the most, but Ho-Oh is for sure the coolest of them. Also, Entei is a fucking faggot.
