Why do people keep stating that he is only as strong as his buu arc self when it was stated he trained for 7 years

I have had him equal to his Post Z Sword self for years, but no one takes me seriously.

Yes, but that doesn't mean he was training all those years in between.

Well compared to his M8 counterpart then it makes sense for him to trained and reached that power (weaker than Kid Gohan though).

Same as Fearless said. His Boo Arc self would still be far stronger than M8 Gohan when considering his feats there presented him as the weakest of the main 5 in that film, whereas Boo Arc Gohan would be more of less equal to Cell Games Goku, of whom M8 Goku is based on.
