To the people arguing they are Gr 2 in the movie (I'm not opposed to this), what do you say to even their Base forms being so jacked? I mean, Vegeta after attacking RSSJ Broly looks Gr. 2 even in Base.

I think that was a coloring error. He seemingly reverts from "base" to base like he would from SSj/gr2 in the next frame

Yeah, I noticed it too. It even looks like maybe Vegeta's hair was just caught right when it was lightning so maybe that's why his hair looked like that for a second, but yeah Toei probably made an error.

I'm noticing tons of colour errors. Broly had black hair while LSSJ for some 3-4 seconds.

Toei did not care or consider what a grade 2 ssj was and how much muscles that ssjg2 is supposed to have.

I assume it was the lighting, When it was purple it was night, when it was blue it was broad daylight so maybe that explains it. Does blue not look darker without light?

Anyway for the topic in question. I like scale DBZ Movie villains to be as strong as the villain at that point in time or around that power, since a lot of events of the movies are reminiscent of the events of the series at that point in time.

I definitely think they're SS Grade 2, especially considering Toei still drew them as SS Grade 2's in the Cell Games anime. The bulkiness of the characters always varies in the anime, even 100% Freeza's bulkiness was all over the place in the anime.
