Monster Zarbon did something similar and totally incapacitated Vegeta. Vegeta still had energy left in him when Recoome smashed him into the ground.

And even tho Recoome was more in the playing mentality, the fight Vegeta put up against him was more impressive.

Vegeta 24,000
Monster Zarbon 29,000

That's a 82% gap.

I'd place Vegeta vs Recoome at 85%.

Vegeta 30,000
Recoome 35,000

Time for me to change the cozy 40,000 spot.

The gap was technically smaller.

Vegeta 24k vs Zarbon 29k is a 5k difference which means Zarbon was 20.8% stronger.

Vegeta 30k vs Recoome 35k is a 5k difference which means Recoome was 16.67% stronger.

Reacoom almost knocked out Vegeta with one hit. I think the gap is larger than the Monster Zarbon gap, considering.

Zarbon Initial: 22,000
Vegeta Initial: 24,000
Zarbon Post: 28,000
Vegeta Post: 30,000
Reacoom: 40,000

That's not how I look at gaps.

24 is 82% of 29
30 is 85% of 35

Hence, the latter is smaller.

An 8 to 10 battle power gap is a 2 units difference... Yet it's logically bigger than, like, 397 to 400, despite the latter being a 3 units difference. The gaps are more sensibly analysed through percentage, not through additions and calculating the difference. Goku SSJ's gap over Freeza would be humongous otherwise... Way more pronounced than, let's say, Piccolo's gap over Kami, Tenshinhan and co. in the 23rd Budokai and Raditz' arrival... Yet that's not really the case.

Oh sorry, upon rereading your comment I see I got it wrong.

But it gets to the same result, nonetheless. 29/24 = 1.2x... 35/30 =1.16x. Pretty much the same I said, but expressed differently.

Vegeta got a zenkai from both fights, which means that he was near death on both occasions.

Vegeta's prototype final flash barely did any damage to Recoome. I dont see Zarbon walking so easily from that

Zarbon and Vegeta both got pushed back an equal degree in their cross counter. With how Reacoom toyed with Vegeta he'd probably walk out without a hint of damage. I think Reacoom had the bigger advantage, he played around more. Dude even fucked around with Gohan for several minutes, it's in his character. Zarbon wanted the fight to be over with as soon as possible and didn't even check to see if Vegeta drowned.
