Moro’s Appearance

As basic as his appearance is, it seems to be growing on me. He looks cynical af, and like he’s a descendant of the 3 wise goats. Hopefully they can write him as a cunning, threatening character and not fuck him up. It’s better than what I’d expect from Super. I wonder if Toriyama or Toyo were responsible for his design.

Well, it's different. Hard to say until we see what's under the cloak.

I get the feeling he's gonna be an Old Demon King Piccolo knock-off and try to regain his youth when he inevitably learns of the DBs through Goku or Vegeta.

AT did do some designing for Dragon-Quest some-time ago IIRC but saying he looks like them (which I don't know) doesn't say much considering a-lot of characters in DB-Super don't look like characters who'd appear in the original. Toppo? Cabba? Ribrianne? Whis? Only a few look like actual DragonBall Characters. Hit, but looks too much like Cell & Zamasu & Dyspo I can think of right-away. Moro looks more like a DragonBall character than some-one like Ribrianne.

I'm gonna say that his design is just a lacked of imagination but I'm not gonna deny that it feels refreshing to see since a lot of characters looks the same. But still respect the the #GOAT (no pun intended).

Definitely the most creative villain design in Super and one of the more creative character designs. Beyond the detailed panel, he doesn't have an appearance that could be seen as villain material compared to Piccolo, Freeza or Cell, but I do like that he does have some of the charm you'd expect of Toriyama (even more surprising when he's Tacetaro's creation) with him essentially being a combination between the demon Baphomet and some wise bearded sage giving quite a nice juxtaposition.

Not one of the best DB character designs, but certainly not bad. 6-6.5/10.

Also Jiren looked nothing DragonBall like. Basically a normal height, grey version of the stereo-typical green alien that people think of.

I don't like Jiren design either but shirtless Jiren looks like a beast and kinda reminds me of Omega Shenron.
