Most interesting present-day main character instead of a seafaring SH? Excluding WB/Ace

Of the characters, who would be the most interesting main character? I think Shanks, Mihawk, Fujitora, Akainu, Aokiji, Smoker, Dragon would all be interesting. Many others would be too, but these stand out more.

Most boring would be Magellan.

Not sure if serious. I wouldn't mind seeing someone go from living in the sky to seeing the real sea.

Urouge is the closest thing One Piece has to a Shaolin Monk. His epithet is Mad Monk and his crew is called the Fallen Monks. I'd be curious to see what led to their fall from grace. Like what happened on a random sky island that made him become a pirate?
