Also, Broly is canon to M12, as evidenced by Paragus's appearance, and Goku stated that he only ever went SSj3 against Boo when he transformed against Janemba. Which means that he only used Super Saiyan 2 when he was assembled to contain Broly at the end of M11, and succeeded.

Broly's is weird for me to place. I definitely think he's weaker than SSJ2 Goku. Though I place Broly

AT BEST: On the same level as Super Perfect Cell (If I place M10 Gohan on the same level as his Buu Saga Counterpart)
2nd Scenario: Weaker than Super Perfect Cell by considerable margin (If I place M10 Gohan in between where he was during the Buu Saga or by the beginning)
At WORST: As strong as he was in M8 if I want to go with Broly not getting stronger due to him being submerged in ice with really no time to heal since he frozen almost immediately after his plot device survival from M8

Regardless, Goku takes this either way. Paragus is in M12 and Goku mentions that only Janemba pushed him to SSJ3 and said he was the greatest ki he ever felt. That's enough for me to believe Goku can handle Broly on his own.
