Not sure how they can fit the Moro Arc into a ~90-120 minute film without cutting out a lot (which honestly might actually be an improvement depending how it's done), unless they treat it purely as some advertisement for the new anime by leaving the story incomplete; which would just cement it as a worthless cashgrab.

They should just release the anime already if they're going to. Of course, Toei won't do that because the films have always been their cash cows for DB.

Can't wait for the Broly and Moro movies to be rehashed with mediocre animation in DBS 2.0 :alex2

If they're going to make a Moro movie then I don't see it going to be a hit like Broly movie.

Toei's Euro website.

If they did a movie version of the Moro arc, it'd be fairly simple to abbreviate a lot of crap, like the prisoner escape, downtime between battles, and all the training (which even Toyotaro skipped the 2 month training). Start with Boo being taken, introduce Moro on Namek, fight, give Boo his moment to shine, Moro absorbs Namek's energy and escapes, the Bandit Brigade shows up to Earth to scout it for Moro, Seven-Three fight where Gohan shines, 2 months later, Saganbo fight (skip the second Seven-Three fight), Moro and Goku/Vegeta fight, done.

Am I the only one who's against the continuation of an anime? If they're going to pull out another anime with poorly written arcs, half-assed animation and art style, they might as well just stick to movies with similar writing quality, but with at least somewhat decent animation/art and let Toyotaro do his thing.

I'm against the anime continuing too (particularly since the passage of time makes it inevitable they can't keep milking it with Nozawa already in her 80s), though if it were inevitable for it to continue, I'd rather it be through a series that wouldn't make it rushed along with poorly written (seeing as a Moro Arc adaption could only just fit into a typical anime film runtime if removing things such as Moro's goons leaving Earth for 2 months). That, and if DBS Broly is anything to go by, the film route seems to be a detriment when it comes to both time management (eg. almost 1/3 of the film consisting of the terrible Minus flashback and the rest just being a big fight sequence) and it having some poor choices in CGI just like FnF did.

That's a fair point, I guess. And given the success DBS Broly was despite the above point, there doesn't seem to be any incentive for them to change this formula.

The movies were always fine, which is why there were so many of them before. They changed the formula making the Super anime and now they're course correcting.

No. I want to see a full season of episode 5 level animation while managing to make the Moro arc even worse. That's true entertainment.

If they animated the Moro arc, I'd love if they trolled everyone by having the animation and art style of Moro gradually decrease in quality with every power-up of his. Start with some beautiful art rivaling some of Z and Super's best, then by the time he's Global Moro he'd be BoG episode 5 level amazing.
