some-wot new interview on db-super & the bad animation from episode 5 & also says something abt a possible new movie.

On the animation:

Norihiro Hayashida: The criticism we've received has been way too overblown. Someone put a few video sequences that looked bad onto the Internet, and people focused on them when talking about an entire series. You can not criticize an entire product by only looking at a few sequences.

The animators responsible for those scenes are newbies who just started working at this level in the industry, which means their skills are evolving right now. Anyway, they are good animators, and I just do not understand why they get picked on to such a degree.

On a possible new movie:

Norihiro Hayashida: We are waiting to see what happens, but there may be something coming soon.

Man that is bullshit. There is soooo much shit wrong with the animation in Super, don't even get me started. It's not just picking out a few small sequences, it's prevalent in every damn episode that I've seen. Also wtf? Using the term "newbies" to describe the animators? 1. Why admit that you hired inexperienced trash? 2. Why insult them by calling them noobs? Seems degrading.

Also $100 that they reuse the Champa arc for the new film.

Yeah, I thought that, too. Calling them "newbies", sounded really unprofessional.

The animation in Super has far exceeded anything in the original or GT. The new episode on its own is superior.

The animation in GT looks incredibly shitty in comparison.

From what I've seen DragonBall GT wasn't really badly drawn, in-fact it seemed well-drawn. You probably just don't like the art-style. There's a difference.

Some scenes in Dragonball Super look realistic, which is more than anything GT could do.

GT was made in the 90s, comparing the animation between something made in the 90s and something made in 2016 is pointless. When the version from 20 years ago looks crisper on many occasions, there's a major problem.

So you equate something looking realistic to good animation. :eek:k :eek:k :eek:k

Then the whole of DragonBall (Z) sucked as far as animation went.

Being crispy is irrelevant. If you watch Db Super in 720 or 1080p it looks much smoother and realistic in some areas.

It's somewhat laughable that people are comparing the two. Their opinions are influenced from their personal feelings about the quality of the show as opposed to what is real and what isn't. Bias is the catalyst for impulsive statements.

How is it irrelevant? The old animation rarely had moments that made the characters look like they had down syndrome. The fact that the Super animators even have to defend themselves shows that there is a problem.

The overall quality of Super is and will always be superior to Dragonball GT. They were trying to understand why -same as I am, parts of the community felt that a few moments reflected the entire show, which it did not because it is superior in 90% of other areas.

Because it isn't a few moments. I noticed a ton of poorly animated scenes in episode 30 and 31. You'd think after the trash that was episode 5, the animators would get their shit together and minimize mistakes, but they don't even seem to look over the product. You can't compare Super to GT realistically. They are animated in completely different ways 20 years apart.

Tosh always talks about being biased. I think he is the one being the most biased, he always sides with whatever haxxes Goku the most or AT "wrote" or made.

90% of all the scenes in Dragonball Super are more crisp and there are plenty of scenes that look realistic.

It really isn't a competition.

Nothing in GT compares to the newest episode.

Still, imo even 90% of it looking good is pretty bad. For a show produced in 2016, there should be no excuse for having 10% of the animation be bad.

I brought GT out of this ages ago, why do you keep bringing it back in? It was animated 20 years ago in a different time. All I'm saying is GT didn't have derpy shit like https://www.google.ca/search?q=dragon+ball+super+animation&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi_6YmU6JbMAhVlvoMKHU1BDkAQ_AUIBygB&biw=1368&bih=801

It's not worth arguing about something we'll clearly share different opinions about no matter what.
