Yeah, Cell couldn't have been in the 4th in since he killed Trunks to get to the main-series time-line.

I wonder whether they'd have had any chance against Boo. They'd have no fusion or Super-Saiyan 3, but they could train themselves just to be really high but even then their regular states (Goku & Vegeta) seemed to hit somewhat of a limit by the Boo-Saga and even RoSaT, so even if they had Super-Saiyan 2 they couldn't defeat Boo. But maybe they'd be intelligent enough to just defeat Dabura in time in that time-line.

The only way I see them surviving against Boo is if they enter the ROSAT and somehow manage to beat Dabra, and then killing Babidi before Boo has the chance to hatch. But we all know the Z-Fighters are too retarded to do that.

I think that might be the most boring time-line to see in the series. Even if Babidi comes to earth. They don't even have Cell-Games in the time-line.

He could, but that still makes it impossible for him to get Super-Saiyan 3 I think. Unless Dende can somehow give Goku infinite stamina for a period of time.

Z Fighters somehow defeated the Androids, either by deactivating them or by using the spirit room. When i first watched DBZ anime,
i noticed that Trunks wasn't transformed into SSJ when Cell killed him (in Cell's flashback about stealing the time machine). This had
made me conclude that, most likely, that version of Trunks had also used spirit room while in the unseen timeline, but underestimated
Cell and if he had gone SSJ he'd have won. Then, when i started using the Internet, i saw most people think that version of Trunks
had never used the spirit room, so he'd have lost anyway, and he got rid of the Androids with the remote control.
Either way, i think this timeline was doomed once Babidi arrived.

Yeah, Cell took him by surprise but Trunks could have reverted to his regular-state after Cell killed him since he had no energy anymore too.

Also at the end of the Cell Saga when Trunks is waiting for Cell, Cell says something like "you have no chance against the androids, let alone me" or something like that.

So that was probably pre-RoSaT Trunks I think.

4 time-lines make sense, because in DragonBall you can't change a time-line only create more and different time-lines.

Original (Un-Altered) Time-Line:
Everyone (but Yajirobe) dies. Trunks manages to most likely de-active the androids because of going to the past and getting the remote. He's just about to leave again for the past (most likely to tell them he's defeated them), but Cell takes him by surprise and kills him (because no Androids to absorb anymore). Steals his Time-Machine to leave for the past. Everyone is dead. No threats either.

Main Time-Line:
The series. Cell comes to this time-line and everything happens.

Future Time-Line (Trunks):
Goku dies. Everyone-else (but Yajirobe) dies to the Androids. Trunks however this time is ready for Cell, since he trained in the past (Main Time-Line) and waits for Cell. Trunks ends Cell and that's that.

4th Time-Line (Present):
Trunks takes the remote from this time-line to the future (original time-line) to de-active the androids. Cell kills him in the original time-line and leaves for the past (Main Time-Line). So here they de-actived the Androids, most likely by the remotes. No Cell either. Unless the one from Dr. Gero still might live.
