Perhaps, but he'd have the advantage of knowing Roshi's moves better due to being turtle-school, and he'd have the Kamehameha too. I don't see Nam being able to make Roshi dish out the electric attack, although he's clearly good enough to challenge him since Roshi was actually afraid he might lose to Goku after seeing him beat nam :cage2 :cage2

Yeah, agreed with Papasmurf. I think Goku (post Karin) > Son Gohan (Uranai Baba) > Goku (21st Budokai) ~ Roshi (21st Budokai) > Son Gohan (before death) is the best way to go. IMO, of course. So I don't think Uranai Baba Gohan needs to be below Ozaru Goku.

But I still think AT had a change of heart about Roshi's strength, like a retcon.

@Papasmurf, I know you don't do numbers (I think), but how high would you say Goku got after training with Karin?

Baba arc Gohan >> Roshi for sure though I'd say, considering Roshi's reaction at simply watching Goku one-shot the mummy. Retcon or not.

Over 2x higher, since Karin said he got a few times stronger :troll :troll

I'd say about 3x higher? He got strong enough to have a good advantage over somebody who stomped him with no effort before, so it seems appropriate. Compared to his tournament self he'd be even higher though, since Kuririn said he was stronger against Blue than he was in the Budokai.

3x seems to be what everyone scales it as. I always thought it'd be more extraordinary or impressive, since it says "several times" literally. 3x seems a bit underwhelming, but I guess people like to keep it easy and minimalistic.

We know Roshi was equal to 21st Budokai Goku.

Yet Goku got stronger when he is fighting Blue and many times stronger after training with Karin.

Only then Roshi and Karin mentioned Goku MAY have surpassed Roshi.

Unless they are referring to Buff Roshi, I think AT changed his mind about the old man's strength.

Don't you think it's possible that they were talking about Roshi in his Buff form? I mean that is technically his full power.

Yea, it could be. But that form is completely useless in an hand to hand fight, only generally used to shoot the Kamehameha.

It helps keep the numbers smaller, but doesn't really help all that much considering what comes after.

And the 23rd Budokai stuff, like Piccolo Junior becoming several times stronger than his father.
