It's just that nothing Kaido has done has any lasting impact on the readers. We are talking about a Yonko here but so far everything he has done during the raid has been reversed and rendered meaningless. I feel no tension from him and what he's going to do.

Him 1-shotting Luffy in act 1 or him stabbing Kinemon were great moments when they happened. Now he's been reduced to being a punching bag for the last 30 chapters.

They should have left Big Mom dead at the bottom of the waterfall and made the main fight Kaido vs Luffy, Kidd and Law. Luffy soloing Kaido is straight ass.
