I also think the same. A long time ago it was hard for me to believe that Broly was the most powerful or that he was so strong (far before I ever joined these forums), but with the passing of time I became convinced that this is so.

Everything that Broly demonstrates and that does not fit with his superior position does not mean that a "superior" character cannot happen to him. In this case, they are more low passes than anything else.

In the end, the limitations regarding a level assigned by someone through an inconclusive or half-finished analysis at best cannot be superseded by how the character is presented by his author himself. If a lot, I can agree that the heroes in his first film are based on the Perfect Cell arc and those of the second, at the beginning of the Buu saga, but the levels that someone can assign to Broly through statistics subjective are just that: subjective statistics.

The way I look at it, Broly is more what then what he appeared to be on screen, not power scaling wise but lore and protrayal wise. Its the same reason why Beerus is stil magically higher in DBS

Amazing... I remember seeing the same discussion in several years ago by this wogman and Pakl. Full circle. Ppl like reiterating things that lead to same things, I guess.
Tbf, those kind of debates sometimes seems more like people arguing in bad faith vs regular minded/non biased people. And this is the same over again and again, it hardly can be considered a debate.

So, an old Toei website (which is page eliminated) takes more precedent than more 10 years of how he wrote Broly? That's an interesting take on here. @GreatSaiyaman123

Not necessarily. It just goes to show that Toei isn't always set on making Broly the strongest. I'm not even sure if Janemba is really stronger than Hirudegarn.

He did say next villains > previous

but he also said Broly was an exception hence why he made him appear 3 times

He said the reason was he "couldn't find anyone stronger" meaning if Bojack was stronger then there would be no M10 Broly, thus Bojack failed and anyone who appeared after Broly from M8

Koyama who worked on the film and has the leading opinion on Z Broly along with other writers > all of us

And its not Koyama, other writers said he was the strongest Saiyan

2 Writers saying he is top dog

Bojack is whatever. Janemba and Hirudegarn would smoke him. When they're introduced, it means Koyama has gotten new ideas. Goku even says Janemba has the strongest Ki he ever felt.

Broly is the strongest Saiyan in the context of his own movie. Later he gets handled off screen by Goku and Paikuhan in hell. So much for the strongest Saiyan...

They could just be making an statement based on SSJ3 Goku's performance against both, that statement could have been retconed and that's why it was eliminated.

We don't know anything about Goku and Paikuhan vs Broly, but Goku could've been studying Broly's style which would make him easier to manage as Broly is just a brawler, also considering that it took the two of them doesn't sound as an easy fight. Janemba's statement could've been retconed or simply is to bring tension because SSJ3 Goku defeated him, other thing that meaning him being stronger than Fat Buu it's more conjecture than anything.

The arguments that actually oppose to the notion of Broly the strongest are rarely mentioned in those discussions, the more that is mentioned is the dislike of people of that being right, wishful thinking rather than objective thinking seems to be in those particular cases. You doesn't differ from that.

And yet the writers tend to think differently, Bojack was a new idea yet he failed. Broly was always an exception to the rule and they made that clear multiple times over

No he is the strongest saiyan in general lol that's made clear by how they push him the strongest in general and not just limited to the movie, interviews that made insanely clear. Even Turles could be the strongest saiyan by your logic cause M3 had him > everyone at that time
