People overrate Birus's superiority over Gokuu.

Like, people act as if we've never seen someone completely outclass Gokuu before when they talk about how strong Birus is.

Tao stomped Gokuu the first time they fought.
So did Piccolo Daimaoh as an old ass man.
Popo was straight-up clowning Gokuu.
Kami finger-flicked him like nothing.
Raditz one-shotted Gokuu with a knee.
Monkey Vegeeta flat-out crushed Gokuu.
Freeza would've straight-up murdered Gokuu if not for him pulling Super Saiyan out of his ass.
Gokuu knew he couldn't do shit against Semiperfect Cell.
Perfect Cell was toying with Gokuu, and would've instantly killed him if he actually got serious.
And Gokuu was scared shitless by Bootenks, Boohan, and even regular Super Boo.

Why should Gokuu get to surpass all these guys, but not Birus? Why must Birus, Whis, Daishinkan, etc be the ones who Gokuu can't ever surpass? It's stupid and forced.

The idea of "moving the goalpost" tends to be ascribed to Beerus, but that's because he's still treated as relevant later in the anime/manga + supplementary material. His dominance over SSJ3 Goku is the last thing people would point to, out of all the ways to analyse him.
